Toronto, Canada

Vancouver SikhsI stayed at the discreet but lovely University Clubhouse located in downtown Toronto. Easily accessible to most everything without being right above loud restaurants. (Added “perk” – living right next to the United States Consul General’s building).

The first night we grabbed a show at Mirvish and followed it up with a late night snack in the neighborhood. (Tashuuuuu <3)

The next day we headed to Niagara-on-the-Lake for some walking / shopping / tastings. Lunch at Peller Estates (farm-to-table-perfection) and a tasting at Kacaba (if driving from Toronto Kacaba is before Peller on the way to the falls). We ended up at the Niagara Falls on a perfect fall afternoon / early evening only to watch the sun dip down over New York State in this perfect vehicle. To avoid large crowds – skip the firework days and I highly recommend a small car for city driving for the rest of your stay!

Morning after falls – I was led to this beautiful Argentinian cafe La Merceria (mocha’s please!) after a Italian sweet-burst on King Street. I think I can easily recommend many lunches and dinners on King Street West but make time for ROM and other tourist highlights during the day. Me – I ended up with T+S and their girl J at the Distillery instead 🙂 The bestest park of Toronto was the many, many desi’s. The band, the baaja, the outer-burbs of more desi’s with street cart foods. Complete perfection!
